The Znaniye Oxford

The Russian language school “Znaniye.Oxford” which means Knowledge was opened in October 2006. This is a non-profit making organisation which original aim was to create a weekend school where children of Russian families in Oxfordshire could experience russian education and culture.  

Learning the second language provides additional advantage to our children, also increases job prospects and independence. It has been found that children that speak more than one language outperform pupils who only speak one language, even in reading. The advantages gained by the chidren are: 

• Better logical and reasoning skills 
• Better communication skills 
• 500% more likely to achieve top grade passes at GCSE and A-Levels compared to children that only speak one languge
• Better multitasking abilities due to increased use of prefrontal cortex
• Use of lateral thinking and creativity
